哈爾濱工業大學是一所有著近百年歷史、世界知名的工科強校，是我國首批985工程（即C9）重點大學，擁有以38位院士為帶頭人的雄厚師資，有9個國家一級重點學科，10個學科名列全國前五名，其中，名列前茅的工科類重點學科數量位居全國第二，工程學在全球排名第六。
30多年前，這所世界名校來到黃海之濱，在美麗的宜居城市——山東威海興校辦學。滄桑巨變，舊貌新顏，如今，哈爾濱工業大學（威海）已成為一所與校本部同步發展的大學校區。
威海校區現有全日制在校本科生、碩士和博士研究生11000余人，專任教師534人；有船舶與海洋工程、海洋科學與技術、汽車工程、信息科學與工程、計算機與軟件、材料科學與工程、新能源、理學、經濟管理、語言文學、土木工程等11個院系；有本科專業37個，共享校本部27個博士點和39個碩士點，另有船舶與海洋工程、海洋科學兩個一級學科碩士點。擁有山東省重點學科8個、省特色專業6個、學?！?85 工程”重點建設學科2個。2016年還成立了由外國專家擔任院長的海洋科學與工程國際學院。
在高水平師資隊伍中，既有國家級、省級教學名師，也有國家百千萬人才和教育部新世紀人才等。另有包括外籍院長、海外特聘教授在內的93位國內外高水平專家擔任兼職教授。此外，還有10位院士定期來校區工作，并建有實驗室和科研團隊。
As a world-renowned technical university, HIT is one of the first batch top 9 key universities of Project 985 of Ministry of Education in China, known as the C9 League, which means Chinese top nine universities. HIT owns three thousand high quality faculty members, among them there are 38 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. In HIT, 9 first-class disciplines belong to national key disciplines, and 10 disciplines are ranked in top five in China. The number of national key disciplines related to engineering in HIT ranks No. 2 in China. In recent years, HIT has become the 6th best global university for engineering in the world.
Over 30 years ago, HIT set up a new chapter in Weihai, a beautiful and one of the best livable coastal city by the Yellow Sea. With three decades development, great changes have been taken place. HIT, Weihai has now grown into a well-known campus with the synchronous development of the University headquarters.
HIT, Weihai now has more than 11,000 full-time students, including undergraduates, graduates, PH.D candidates, and 534 academic faculty members. There are eleven schools and department in HIT, Weihai, including the School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, the School of Marine Science and Technology, the School of Automotive Engineering, the School of Information Science and Engineering, the School of Computer Science & Software Engineering, the School of Material Science and Engineering, the School of New Energy, the School of Science, the School of Economics and Management, the School of Languages and Literature and the Department of Civil Engineering. HIT, Weihai offers 37 undergraduate programs, and accord with HIT, Harbin in offering 39 Masters and 27 Doctoral programs. Besides, it offers two first-class discipline Masters Programs, i.e. Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering and Marine Science, which are supported by HIT-Project-985. Presently, HIT, Weihai is equipped with provincial 8 key disciplines, and 6 provincial distinct specialties. In 2016, HIT Weihai founded the International School of Ocean Science and Engineering, led by a world-class international expert as its dean.
Among the faculty members, there are national and provincial famous teachers and outstanding professors with diverse national academic titles. In addition, HIT, Weihai has invited 93 distinguished experts serving as adjunct professors. Ten academicians have established their laboratories as the regular research basis in Weihai campus.

1.引領材料科學與工程學院現有學科發展方向，培育海洋工程材料等涉海新方向，帶領本學科進入國際先進行列；
2.尋求船舶工程、海洋工程領域的專家：對于船舶與海洋工程領域的科研及其學科發展有促進作用，最好母語是英語；
3.尋求水中無人系統總體技術、引領性技術專家：水中無人系統（包括水下航行器和無人船等）是多學科交叉技術，異質系統間耦合協同作業研究具有非常高的學術和工程價值。需要有熟知各學科相關技術并能準確把握目前國內外研究趨勢的專家；
4.尋求海洋結構健康監測智能系統中的智能采集技術專家：海洋結構健康監測智能系統涉及健康參數采集、數據分析評估等各方面，其中健康參數準確獲取是基礎，需要掌握先進的傳感器技術的專家；
5.為完善研究院的建設，學院已著手搭建膜技術公共創新服務平臺，現需要國外膜相關領域的專家給予幫助指導，主要對中歐膜技術研究院平臺建設和研究課題進行技術指導并進行交流；
6.引領學院現有學科發展方向，主持服務計算、網絡安全和人工智能等熱點方向，帶領本學科進入國際先進行列；
7. 因用人單位設立了《智能會計》研究方向，需要人工智能管理的基本理論和方法介紹，希望專家能就此方面給予短期交流合作授課；
8. 負責新能源汽車或者智能網聯汽車發展戰略規劃及建設，推進本學科的國際化。

2.Development of Research and Subject: to introduce talents focusing on naval architecture and ocean engineering; to dedicate himself/herself to Development of Research and Subject; native english speaker is preferred;
3.Looking for the overall technology and leading technical experts of the Underwater Unmanned System: the Underwater Unmanned System (including underwater vehicles and unmanned boats, etc.) is a multidisciplinary cross technology, and the research on the coupling and collaborative operation between heterogeneous systems has a very high academic and engineering value. It needs experts who are familiar with related technologies of various disciplines;
4.Seeking for the experts of intelligent collection technology in the intelligent system of ocean structure health monitoring: the intelligent system of ocean structure health monitoring involves the collection of health parameters, data analysis and evaluation, among which the accurate acquisition of health parameters is the basis, and the experts who master advanced sensor technology are required;
5.In order to improve the construction of the Research Institute, the Institute has started to build a public innovation service platform for membrane technology. Now it needs the help and guidance of foreign experts in membrane related fields, mainly for the technical guidance and exchange of platform construction and research topics of China Europe Membrane Technology Research Institute;
6.Lead the development direction of the existing disciplines of the college, preside over service computing, network security, artificial intelligence and other hot directions, and lead the discipline into the international advanced ranks;
7.The organization have set up the research direction of Intelligent Accounting, needs the introduction of the basic theory and method of Artificial Intelligence Management, and hopes the experts can give short-term exchange and cooperative teaching in this aspect;
8.Be responsible for the development strategy planning and construction of new energy vehicles or intelligent networked vehicles, and promote the internationalization of this discipline.

船舶與輪機工程學院學科專業建設的成就比較明顯，但與建設高水平綜合性大學的遠期發展目標相比、與省內外同類學科建設對比，船舶與海洋工程學科專業建設還存在著較大差距，底子較薄、知名度不高。就學校整體學科專業水平和競爭力而言，在學術界有較大影響的學科帶頭人和學術骨干嚴重不足，缺少具有海外經歷的導師，需充分利用各方面條件、引進和培養一批年輕有為、素質較高的學術帶頭人，帶動特色學科的跨越式發展。
